FAQ on Mens Iced Out Watches
Will the iced-out band pull my arm hair?
We design our bracelets with smooth-polished inner links. While the outside is fully iced, the inside surface that touches your skin is smooth stainless steel. Additionally, the links are spaced precisely to prevent the "pinching" effect common with cheaper bands, ensuring it sits comfortably on the wrist without pulling hair.
Does the watch fit under a dress shirt cuff?
It depends on the fit of your shirt. Our Iced Out watches have a bolder, thicker profile (approx. 12mm - 15mm thickness) due to the stone settings and the automatic movement. While they look incredible with a suit, they may be tight under a very slim-fit button-down cuff. We recommend wearing them with the cuff unbuttoned or with short sleeves to maximize the visual impact.
Can I buy extra links if I have a large wrist (8+ inches)?
Yes. Our standard watch bands fit wrists up to 8 inches out of the box. If you have a thicker wrist, we sell matching iced-out links separately. You can purchase an extension kit to add as many links as needed to get the perfect fit without sacrificing the seamless "diamond flow" of the bracelet.
Does the constant vibration of the Automatic movement loosen the stones?
No. This is a common issue with cheap glue-set watches, but not ours. Because we use Prong Setting (bending metal over the stone), the settings are mechanically secure. The gentle vibration of the automatic rotor inside the case is not strong enough to disturb the prong integrity. Your stones remain secure regardless of the movement.
What is the difference between "Invisible Set" and "Prong Set" watches?
-Prong Set: You can see small metal beads holding each stone. This is the classic, durable look.
-Invisible Set: The stones are grooved and slide into a metal track, so no metal prongs are visible between them. This creates a seamless "wall of ice" look that is very sleek, though prong settings are generally recommended for maximum durability during daily wear.
Can I polish the metal scratches out without damaging the Moissanite?
You can lightly polish the non-iced parts (like the clasp or case back) with a Cape Cod cloth. However, you should avoid using abrasive polishing wheels on the iced-out sections. While Moissanite is hard and won't scratch, the polishing compound can build up between the stones and dull the sparkle. We recommend ultrasonic cleaning for the iced sections instead.
Is the "Gold" color plated or solid?
To keep our watches affordable (under $5,000) while using real Moissanite, we use 18k Gold PVD Plating over solid 316L Stainless Steel. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a vacuum coating process that is up to 10x more durable than standard gold plating. It gives you the exact look and weight of a solid gold timepiece without the $30,000 price tag.
