Brilliant Cut: The traditional cut with distinct, symmetrical facets. It produces the maximum amount of fire and sharp light return. It is the classic "sparkly" look.

Crushed Ice: A specialized cut designed to mimic the scattered, subtle sparkle of a natural diamond more closely. It has shorter light rays and looks like shattered ice inside. It is often preferred for those who want a look closer to a diamond and less like a "disco ball."

Elongated shapes are the secret to slender-looking hands. Oval, Pear, and Radiant cuts draw the eye vertically up the finger, creating an elongating illusion. A Round or Cushion cut tends to make the finger look wider. If you have shorter fingers, we highly recommend an Oval solitaire.

We recommend a minimum band width of 1.8mm to 2.0mm for daily wear. While "whisper thin" (1.5mm) bands look delicate, they can warp or bend over time if they are holding a heavy center stone (2 carats+). A slightly thicker band ensures your Moissanite stays secure for a lifetime without compromising the elegant look.

- High Profile (Cathedral): Lifts the stone up, allowing a straight wedding band to slide underneath and sit perfectly flush (no gap).

- Low Profile (Basket): The stone sits low on the finger for comfort. However, a straight wedding band will hit the basket, creating a small gap. You may need a "Curved" or "Chevron" band to wrap around it.

Moissanite is about 15% lighter than diamond. If you buy a "1 Carat" Moissanite by weight, it will actually be slightly smaller than a 1 Carat Diamond. To avoid confusion, IcedJewelz lists all stones by millimeter (mm) size or Diamond Equivalent Weight (DEW). For example, a 6.5mm Moissanite looks exactly like a 1 Carat Diamond, regardless of the slight weight difference.

We advise taking it off. Cosmetics, hairspray, and especially lotions create a sticky film on the bottom of the stone (the pavilion). This film blocks light from entering, making the Moissanite look dull or "flat." If this happens, a quick soak in warm water and dish soap will strip the oils and restore the shine instantly.

Solitaire: Best for showing off the unique "Rainbow Fire" of Moissanite. The stone gets light from all sides.

Halo: A ring of small stones around the center. This adds massive surface area and total sparkle ("bling factor") and makes the center stone appear up to 0.5 carats larger from a distance. Great for maximizing visual impact on a budget.
